Founded in 1916, Howth Golf Club is situated on the beautiful scenic peninsula of Howth, overlooking Dublin Bay.
In 2004, Abecto Design was employed by the club to redesign their existing website.
Prior to beginning the redesign process, Abecto extensively photographed the course and used that breathtaking panoramic imagery as the foundation for the site's new look.
Apart from the frontend design, the backend of the Howth Golf Club website was also redeveloped. Previously the site was made up of entirely static HTML pages, making ongoing updates and maintenance a headache for the club staff.
Abecto developed a bespoke content-management system for the new website allowing for regular, easy updates to club notices, fixtures, results, inter-club competitions, the catering menu and more.
Since the launch of the new site, it has become an invaluable resource for members who can easily keep up-to-date with the latest news from the club by simply logging on to the website.
